Launched in 2016, Global Exhibitions Day is the brainchild of UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry.
Supported by 41 industry associations, Global Exhibitions Day (#GED18) on Wednesday 6th June 2018, creates waves amongst the event organiser community and generates a spotlight on the exhibition industry for an entire day every year.
Global Exhibitions Day is promoted by UFI as ‘a chance to celebrate the exhibition industry and highlight its positive impact on jobs, business, innovation and local investment’ and following the success of 2017 which saw participation from 67 countries and regions worldwide, #GED18 is set to be a big one!
As an event tech company, it is your opportunity to be part of this celebration and help further your industry’s growth and progression.

ATTEND/ORGANISE NETWORKING EVENTS
Global Exhibitions Day has a real community feel and UFI really encourages everyone to celebrate the world of exhibitions and the talented, passionate individuals who make our industry what it is.
Whether you run your own networking session, attend an organised event or take your colleagues out for a celebratory lunch - get together and raise a glass to your wonderful colleagues and peers!
We’ll be putting our organiser hats on and attending The Exhibition Network event in London supported by the AEO. If you're an event organiser we'll see you there!

SHARE SOME STATS
Many event tech companies have some amazing data insights and stats all of which are vital in helping organisations have a greater understanding of trends hitting the industry right now.
It goes without saying (but I’m going to say it anyway!), make sure you get permission where needed. It is a great industry but highly competitive! Don’t land yourself in hot water with your customers. :-)
TAKE PART SOCIALLY
Share a picture of your team. Take a photo from your meetings for that day. Take part in the social #expochat conversations. However you decide to take part in #GED18 jump on your preferred social channel of choice and help the community reach new audiences and raise the profile even further.
